So, after seeing several posts on Facebook yesterday evening, it has been confirmed – Tesco really were selling 3 cases of beer/cider for £11!

The deal was meant to be - ‘buy 3 cases and save £11’ - however, a system error led to people being able to buy 3 cases for £11.

This reportedly affected various Tesco stores around Scotland and as you can imagine, once word got out, this spread like wild fire across all social networking sites.

Twitter’s growth these days seems to be coming from outside of the United States. ComScore data shows a 6.7 percent jump from August to September in worldwide visitors to 58.4 million (which translates to 949 percent increase from a year ago). The 20.9 million visitors from the US, in contrast, have remained flat since July.

Back in March, Facebook won an injuction against three spammers who sent unwanted messages and made abusive wall posts on the site. The temporary restraining order placed criminal consequences on their continuing actions, but the legal battle didn’t end there.

This week Facebook reported they’ve been awarded $711 million in damages by a San Jose, CA court against Sanford Wallace, the notorious ‘Sam King’ that MySpace also successfully went after last year to the tune of a $234 million judgment.
