The Desire has proved to have a number of benefits ranging from the ability to view websites in flash, to its 5MP camera, to its large processor that enables multi-tasking. However, one key advantage that seems to pop up is the fact that you’re not tied down into doing things Apple’s way, i.e. via ITunes.

The initial reviews from Spider’s Desires fans suggest the Iphone might finally have some true competition which makes it interesting to see what will Apple comes up with the summer. However, we may just have had a sneak preview of what Mr. Jobs is about to release...

Last week an unfortunate Apple employee reportedly lost a prototype of the new Iphone which fell into the hands of gadget guru, Gizmodo. However, Apple realised pretty promptly and managed to shut down the phone before Gizmodo had any real chance to access it. However, from just analysing the handset, Gizmodo were able to report the following new features:

• Front-facing camera for video chat.
• Improved camera compared to the previous 3GS.
• New camera flash.
• Higher Resolution.
• Larger battery.

The release of Gizmodo’s story has sent the speculation of what Apple might reveal into overdrive. However, the truth is no one knows for sure and we will just have to wait for Apple’s press conference this June.
